Robin Hood and His Merry Men - 1935

Posted by Todd Anderson on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 Under: Vintage Design

I was recently going through some old boxes at my dads house and came across this wonderful collectable vintage book, Robin Hood and His Merry Men.

The stories are retold by Sara Hawks Sterling. It has some beautiful full page colour plates, illustrated by Rowland Wheelwright, each framed with a detailed line drawing.

With it dating back to the 1930′s, I can only assume that it came into his possession from my dads, mum’s (my nan’s) husband, as I have recently found other items that were definitely his.

Publishised by J. Coker Co., LTD. London in 1935.
